Engine Tranny Transfercase

In went the Tuned Port from an 86 Camaro. All of the electronics will be upgraded to the 90 and newer system which uses a MAP sensor instead of a MAS airfow sensor. Without the MAS airfow sensor I can put an air filter right on the front of the plenum so it won't hit the radiator.

I had to convert the front of the motor over to a short water pump.  I really wanted to use the serpentine belt but it left no room for a radiator.  I ended up using the alternator bracket from a 71-72 chevy pickup.  I bought an OEM bracket from a restoration company.  It uses the top two head bolts only and runs the alternator off the crank and water pump grooves closest to the block.  You can see in the pics that the alternator is out of the way of the throttle body.  I'm going to order a power steering pump bracket from a street rod company.  It puts the pump under the alternator and runs it off a third groove on the crank pulley only.  I'm saving the other side of the motor for an air compressor and an extra alternator for a welder.  They will run off the center crank groove and outer pump groove which line up perfectly.  The water pump will have two drive belts so if one breaks in the back country I'll still be able to make it home.  With this setup I have just under 7 inches from the pump shaft to the back of the headlight buckets to fit the radiator and fans.

I still don't have pics of the tranny/transfercase.  I get into a task and I forget to stop and take pictures.
